Living in Western Colorado
Glenwood Springs is not only a wonderful place to visit – it’s a great place to live. This picturesque mountain community has been featured in The Great Towns of America (1998) and was listed as #4 in The Best Small Towns of America (1995).
Glenwood’s growth can be seen in ongoing development, both commercial and residential. While other economies may have slowed, Glenwood Springs continues to be a popular place for businesses and homeowners. What keeps Glenwood’s economy strong and healthy is that it is based both on tourism and commercial variety. The town also acts as a regional trade center for the surrounding area and the county seat for growing Garfield County.

Our employees enjoy living in several Western Slope communities including Glenwood Springs, Aspen, Snowmass, Basalt, Carbondale, New Castle, Silt, Rifle, and Battlement Mesa/Parachute. The cost of living is highest in Aspen and becomes exponentially more affordable toward Glenwood and even more so along the Colorado River valley communities further west.
Western Colorado offers a wonderful variety of recreational
activities and entertainment. The ski areas of Aspen, Snowmass, Vail and Sunlight are all within an hour. Hiking, bicycling, rafting and fishing are literally outside our front door. Cultural, dining, and shopping activities are abundant. Grand Junction is a little over an hour west, and Denver is two and a half hours east.
The area is a great place to raise a family as well. The crime rate is extremely low. There are excellent schools and parks as well as churches and synagogues. Western Colorado is simply a wonderful place to live!
