Agency Background

Neil-Garing Insurance has a dynamic and successful history on Colorado's Western Slope. The agency is recognized as a leader in the Colorado insurance industry.

The organization was founded as The Village Agency in 1975. It was purchased by John Neil and Roger Garing in 1985. In 1987 our name was changed to Neil-Garing Insurance. Roger Garing left the agency in 1988 and John Neil assumed full ownership.

In February, 2000 we moved to our current location at Two Rivers Park Plaza in Glenwood Springs.

We purchased The Aspen Agency in January, 1994 and most recently acquired Aspen Financial Services, Inc. in June, 2003. The addition of this established employee benefits agency allows Neil-Garing to provide a full spectrum of products to our clients.

Today and Tomorrow

Neil-Garing Insurance is a thriving business offering a wide variety of commercial and personal property and casualty, life, health and benefits insurance products and services. We have experienced strong and consistent growth in an ever-changing industry with 40 employees and a book of business of over 5,200 clients.

Our agency is firmly established in the valley with a commitment to our customers, staff members and area communities. We will continue to provide our customers with local expertise, financial stability and value.
